The work of the Partnership is conducted by its Executive, Project, Outreach, and Resource Committees.

The Onondaga Lake Partnership has established a number of committees to conduct its work of overseeing the activities of agencies and groups involved in improving the lake. The committees of the Partnership include representatives of the community including special interest groups, businesses and educational institutions.

Follow the links for each committee for more information about committee activities and committee member contact information.

Executive Committee

Comprised of representatives of each of the senior partners and chaired by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, manages the Onondaga Lake Partnership. They establish and maintain the mission of the partnership and the lake improvement effort, setting goals, assessing performance, and reporting progress.

Project Committee

Chaired by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, serves as the partnership's technical center of expertise on specific projects. They provide input for a comprehensive project database and schedule for the entire lake improvement effort, monitoring project progress and providing data for status reports.

Outreach Committee

Works to enhance public knowledge and understanding of the partnership and the status of the lake improvement effort. Chaired by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, they identify and pursue opportunities for public participation and education and provide a single point of contact for the public to address lake improvement needs, desires and issues.

Resource Subcommittee

Chaired by Onondaga County, develops and maintains partnership funding strategy for projects, tracking existing funding and identifying and recommending potential funding sources for projects.
